Senior High School system in Ghana has passed through meriads of changes.
As postulated by the first president of Ghana Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, it is the climax of cultural harmony, due to boardinization and perceptive insight to preparing young men and women for an industrial takeoff.
Research institutions were at the heart of all programs that were geared towards industrialization. Competitive as they were, renders their output for household discussions amidst national pride.
Things seemed to get dwindled over the years especially on account of poor industrial thinking capacities, most schools becoming den of "wee" smokers and growth of political think tanks instead of industrial ones. Nevertheless, the display of intelligence of these young dudes in the National Science and Math Quiz gives us the hope that all is not lost. Most Senior High Schools are doing well. The youth of this land look up to the leadership of this nation for greater strides, hope and happiness.
